Work: House Restoration
1 stone house

The load capacity of the foundation was to strong enough to avoid works; “Cordoli di Coronamento” (steel reinforced concrete beams) were added at the top of the walls as well as “Rinforzo dei Cantonali” (walls toothing reinforcing). to increase the “effetto scatolare” of the house due to existing niches into the walls which were asked to be left by the customer for aesthetic reason.  New roof was built.

The main draw of this old house was the intrinsic charm it hold thanks to the original features it possessed. This property was presented as an abandoned stone barn on one level with cellar on the side. It had been used for making and storing wine from the old Vineyard in residence
The object of the conversion was to make a comfortable 2 bedroom house for this family also offering summer rental potential when they were not using the property themselves.

The garden was landscaped and a patio area created. A mix of traditional style with contemporary kitchen and bathroom have proved an excellent combination.
